Supporting San Diego child care businesses
Shared Services Alliance
CDA partnered with YMCA Resource and
Referral Services to support child care providers
in sustaining and enhancing their business
through the Shared Services Alliance (SSA)
program, which started as a pilot initiative in
2022.
In 2024, a select group of twenty-four child
care providers in South San Diego were chosen
to partake in this program offering access to
a comprehensive suite of business supports,
including a user-friendly technology platform
and hands-on coaching designed to boost
enrollment, streamline operations, and increase
long-term 昀椀nancial stability.
This initiative is a re昀氀ection of CDA’s unwavering
commitment to the child care workforce.
By investing in high-impact strategies and
equipping providers with the tools, knowledge,
and resources they need, CDA is fostering a
stronger, more resilient early care and education
ecosystem—where providers can thrive, and
children receive the highest quality care.
Thanks to my SSA coach’s
guidance, I have gained
valuable tools and resources
that have helped me grow
my child care business
and enhance the quality
of education I provide. I’ve
learned e昀昀ective strategies
for managing income and
expenses, and now maintain
organized, up-to-date records
for each child in my care.
With her support, I’ve also
been introduced to a variety
of resources that promote
high-quality, developmentally
appropriate practices. Thank
you CDA for this program.
