Whole family, provider,
and community support
At CDA, we recognize that families and child care providers rarely face just one
challenge—and they should never have to search for support alone. That’s why
our approach is rooted in the belief that holistic, wraparound care is essential
to building thriving families, strong providers, and resilient communities.
Every day, families come to CDA with a range of needs—economic, educational,
nutritional, emotional—and we are committed to supporting them in more than
one way. Through our Family Resources Team, we provide warm, personalized
referrals to an extensive network of over 50 trusted community partners,
ensuring access to everything from mental health services and housing support
to workforce development and parenting resources.
CDA is proud to be an active partner in Live Well San Diego, collaborating
with local leaders and community members to identify regional priorities
and improve the health, safety, and well-being of all San Diegans. We are also
deeply engaged in the 211 San Diego Community Information Exchange (CIE)
network, which strengthens cross-agency coordination to better serve families
with complex needs.

In 2024, CDA hosted its second Family Resource Fair, welcoming more
than 400 attendees and offering direct connections to community services,
activities, and onsite support. Events like this re昀氀ect our ongoing commitment
to being a trusted hub for families and providers—not just offering services, but
building a system of care that sees and supports the whole person.
